Construction Begins on Massive Kingston Community in Estero

Years after its initial proposal, the long-awaited Kingston community in Estero is officially under construction. In a major milestone for Southwest Florida, Cameratta Companies and community leaders gathered on November 13 to celebrate the groundbreaking of what will become one of the region’s largest master-planned developments.

Joined by major homebuilding partners, including Lennar Homes, Neal Communities, Pulte Homes, Taylor Morrison, and Kolter Homes, the ceremony marked the start of vertical construction following extensive planning, permitting, and site restoration work.

A Vision Years in the Making

Kingston’s journey to groundbreaking has been extensive, largely due to environmental concerns raised by groups dedicated to protecting the essential Wildlife Corridor. This corridor supports the migration and habitat of threatened, endangered, and native species throughout Southwest Florida.

Cameratta Companies responded by shaping Kingston into a project centered on sustainability. Of the nearly 7,000 acres included in the development:

• Approximately 3,300 acres will be restored as wildlife habitat
• Large areas will be officially designated as environmental preserves
• Former distressed and overgrown farmland will be transformed into a balanced blend of nature and community

According to Cameratta Companies, Kingston is fundamentally a conservation restoration project, designed to protect natural environments while providing a thoughtfully built residential and commercial hub.

What Kingston Will Look Like at Full Build-Out

Once complete, Kingston is planned to include

• Approximately 10,000 homes
• Housing types:

  • Condominiums
  • Villas
• Early model home construction begins spring 2026
• First models are expected to be completed late

• 700,000 sq. ft. of commercial development
• Shops, dining, services, and other mixed-use amenities
• A long list of community features designed for modern Southwest Florida living

Builders Helping Bring Kingston to Life
Pulte Homes
Pulte highlighted Kingston as the continuation of its strong partnership with Cameratta Companies.
“Kingston will introduce a dynamic lifestyle experience that sets a new benchmark,” said Josh Graeve, President of PulteGroup’s Southwest Florida Division. Their homes will offer consumer-inspired design, quality craftsmanship, and personalization options.

Neal Communities
Neal will introduce paired villas and single-family homes across their Cruise, Celebration, Cove, and Coastal series.

• Villas: 1,433–1,530 sq. ft.
• Single-family homes: 1,682–4,443 sq. ft.
• Neal plans six model homes, including two villas and four single-family designs.

Taylor Morrison
Taylor Morrison will expand its renowned Esplanade resort lifestyle brand into Kingston.
“Esplanade has resonated deeply with the Naples market,” said Cammie Longenecker, President of Taylor Morrison’s Resort Lifestyle Brand. Residents can expect a hospitality-driven, resort-style living experience.

Lennar Homes
Lennar continues its successful partnership with Cameratta.

Kolter Homes
Kolter joins as one of several premier builders contributing to Kingston’s extensive range of neighborhoods and home styles.
