Aurelio’s Pizza Expands to Estero with New Location and Grand Opening Celebration

Pizza lovers in Southwest Florida have a reason to celebrate... Aurelio’s Pizza, the legendary Chicago-born pizzeria, is officially expanding to Estero. After successfully opening a takeout and delivery location in North Naples last November, franchise owner Lichtman is bringing the beloved brand’s full menu to a brand-new spot in Estero.

The move comes after Aurelio’s long-running Naples franchise at Coastland Center mall closed last September. Aurelio’s previously had a presence at other locations in Naples and Fort Myers, but Lichtman is now reintroducing the only Florida franchises of the brand. Ironically, both the North Naples and Estero spaces were once home to short-lived Romeo’s Pizza shops - which themselves replaced Clean Juice locations.

A Full Menu of Classics

At the Estero restaurant, guests can enjoy Aurelio’s entire menu of favorites:

• Thin-crust tavern-style pizza
• Chicago deep-dish pizza
• Signature Super Six pizza loaded with pepperoni, sausage, ham, mushrooms, green peppers, and cheese
• Homemade meatball, Italian beef, sausage, and chicken sandwiches
• Fresh salads, pastas, appetizers, and desserts

This wide-ranging menu ensures there’s something for everyone, whether you’re craving a classic pizza night or hearty Italian comfort food.

To celebrate the grand opening on October 13, Aurelio’s Pizza of Estero is offering a special deal: a free order of breadsticks with the purchase of a large pizza.

A Legendary Brand with Chicago Roots

Founded in 1959 in the Chicago suburb of Homewood, Aurelio’s Pizza has grown into a franchise with 34 locations across four states. The chain began franchising in 1970, and its first Naples location opened in 1996.

President and CEO Joe Aurelio shared, “Our loyal Aurelio's Pizza customers travel from all over Florida for a taste of home. We’re excited to bring the tradition to Estero.” He even added that Aurelio’s was Pope Leo’s favorite pizza growing up in Illinois.

Looking Ahead

With plans to continue expanding along Florida’s west coast, Lichtman sees Estero as just the beginning.
“We’ll continue to grow in Southwest Florida and hopefully continue to work our way up the west coast,” he said. “It is a great privilege to represent the brand and grow the organization.”
