Chubby Mermaid Brewing Co. is not just another brewery—it’s the realization of a dream by two passionate brewers, Gary and Josh. Here's the story behind this exciting new addition to the community.

From Homebrewers to Brewmasters
Gary and Josh’s journey began over a decade ago with their shared love for homebrewing. Like many hobbyists, they faced trial and error, but their passion pushed them to learn and experiment. Through online brewing communities, the pair connected with other homebrewers on YouTube, calling themselves “Brewtubers.”

They gained tips and tricks from their fellow Brewtubers, refining their brewing techniques over the years. The dream of opening a brewery always lingered—and now, with the support of their wives, that dream has become a reality with the launch of Chubby Mermaid Brewing Co.

Chubby Mermaid offers more than just a lineup of craft beers. The brewery includes an on-site restaurant and rotating food trucks for even more delicious options. Their menu is packed with bar food favorites, including:

- Pizza
- Giant Pretzels
- Loaded Nachos
- Buffalo Wings
- Burgers

Hours of Operation:
Tuesday – Thursday: 11 AM – 9 PM
Friday & Saturday: 11 AM – 11 PM
Sunday: 12 PM – 9 PM
Although the owners are waiting on a final health inspection to fully open the kitchen, food trucks will be available until everything is up and running.

A Brewery Built with Passion
Chubby Mermaid’s brewery space is located in Bonita Springs' new industrial park near the former dog track off Old 41. Gary and Josh built the space from the ground up, and it shows.

By day, natural light floods the space through large windows and glass garage doors that open during cooler weather. At night, the custom bar glows with LED lighting, and Edison bulbs sparkle from above. Guests can also relax in a cozy lounge area with a TV, providing the perfect spot to sip a cold beer and enjoy the brewery’s laid-back vibe.

What’s in a Name?
Chubby Mermaid is a playful reference to none other than Florida’s beloved manatee! In keeping with this theme, the brewery will donate a portion of its proceeds annually to the Save the Manatee Club.
