Chick-fil-A, one of America’s most popular fast-casual dining chains, is planning a new restaurant at The Shoppes at Grande Oak in Estero, Florida. This exciting development will transform the former Perkins restaurant site located at the corner of Corkscrew Road and Ben Hill Griffin Parkway into a modern Chick-fil-A featuring a dual-lane drive-thru, ample dining space, and distinct architectural design.
The proposed Chick-fil-A restaurant will be approximately 5,695 square feet and designed in a Mediterranean Revival style with stucco finishes and Spanish barrel roof tiles, giving it both a classic and appealing look that fits well within the established aesthetic of The Shoppes at Grande Oak. The building will accommodate seating for about 70 guests indoors and 16 outdoors, with a configuration tailored for fast, friendly service and excellent customer flow.
A dual-lane drive-thru is included in the plans, which will allow two lines of vehicles to order and pick up food simultaneously — a popular feature that helps reduce wait times and traffic congestion at busy periods. These drive-thru improvements reflect Chick-fil-A’s broader strategy to enhance convenience and accessibility for guests, similar to other modern restaurant configurations introduced across the country.
Estero’s Corkscrew Road corridor has seen significant commercial growth, and the addition of Chick-fil-A at this intersection will further enhance the area’s dining options. Located within a short drive of established residential neighborhoods, shopping destinations, and major roadways like I-75, this spot is highly visible and accessible — ideal for both everyday meals and weekend traffic.
The transformation of the former Perkins site into a Chick-fil-A also underscores continuing investment in Estero’s retail and restaurant scene, which residents and business owners alike have actively followed through recent Planning & Zoning Board meetings.
As of late 2025, the Chick-fil-A proposal is scheduled for review by local planning and zoning officials, including a public hearing phase where community members can learn more and provide feedback. These meetings offer transparency into design adjustments and next steps in the permitting and construction timeline.
While an official opening date has not yet been announced, interest in new Chick-fil-A locations remains strong nationwide, with the company frequently expanding and adapting its restaurant formats, from dual-drive-thru configurations to walk-up and digital-focused service models, to meet evolving customer demands.
