Collier County beaches charge non-residents $10 per day. City of Naples metered beach accesses charge $5.00 per hour. But 24 of the City's 40 beach ends are permit-only, where non-residents cannot park at any price. Every Collier County property taxpayer and full-time resident qualifies for a free permit covering both systems.
Last verified: 30 August 2026. Every rate, fine, closure and permit rule on this page was read that day on the official City of Naples and Collier County pages listed in the Sources section, and nothing here is carried over from an earlier pass without being re-read. Beach parking is the one local subject where a page that is right in March is wrong by May, so we date this guide by the verification run rather than by the day it was first written, and we publish the cadence below so you can judge how much to trust it.
Re-verification cadence: quarterly, plus any time a named closure changes. This page type ages faster than anything else we publish. In the six days between 24 August 2026 and 30 August 2026, seven facts across the wider Southwest Florida parks research changed on official pages. Beach parking is the topic where people search "is it open today," so a stale page is not a small defect here, it is the whole failure.
If you are reading this more than three months after the date above, call before you drive. City of Naples parking questions: [email protected] or Finance at 239-213-1800 [S6]. Collier County Parks and Recreation: (239) 252-4000 [S23].
Ask what beach parking costs in Naples and you will usually get a single hourly rate, and that answer is wrong in a way that gets people towed. There are three separate systems here, not one: nine Collier County beach parks at a flat daily rate, fourteen City of Naples metered accesses charged by the hour, and twenty-four City beach ends where a non-resident cannot park at any price. A single number cannot describe all three, and the number most pages publish describes the smallest of them.
24 of the City of Naples' 40 beach ends are permit only. A non-resident cannot park at any of them at any price. The signs read "Beach Parking by Resident Only," and the City's own written instruction is verbatim: "DO NOT PARK THERE if you are a non-resident of Collier County and do not have a Beach Parking Permit." Violators are towed at owner's expense [S1].
All 24 are named individually below, one by one, with current status. And the arithmetic behind that matters more than the list itself: 24 out of 40 is 60 percent, so a visitor who drives to a Naples beach end without checking has a better than even chance of arriving somewhere they legally cannot park.
Three further things on this page exist nowhere else in one place:
McGreevy and Comisar built this from the County and City primary sources rather than from tourism listings, because the tourism listings are where the wrong numbers come from.
Three systems, not two. Every competing page describes one or two of them.

Sources: county rate and payment method [S23] [S26] [S65]; city rate, payment method and permit-only rule [S1] [S2].
Two original insights nobody publishes. First, the permit-only trap above. Second, the $5.00 hourly rate crosses the county's $10 flat rate at exactly two hours, so a half day at the beach costs materially different money one block in either direction. Two hours at a city meter is $10.00, identical to a full county day. At three hours the city meter is $15.00 and the county beach is still $10.00.
Verified 2026-08-30. The City's own downloadable beach parking brochure PDF still shows $2.50 per hour, a $1.25 minimum, fines of $100 / $37 / $47, and a dead pay-by-phone number of 855-748-6064 [S15]. Use the live page, never the PDF [S1]. Tourism sites still quote $8 for Tigertail; the real rate has been $10 since 1 January 2022 [S65].
If your address sits inside the Olde Naples, Coquina Sands, Aqualane Shores, Port Royal or Gordon Drive footprint, walkable permit-only beach access is a genuine amenity that most listing copy never spells out, and pricing it is a judgment call rather than a formula. Every Collier County property taxpayer and full-time resident qualifies. The permit costs nothing [S2] [S23]. It is valid at all City of Naples and all Collier County beaches, in metered spaces at both, at city street beach ends, and in any space signed as permit-required [S2].
City and County rules are identical by interlocal agreement, so this is one system, not two. A single free permit parks you at both [S2].
This is the section with the most real-world value. A Naples homeowner paying $10 a visit, or circling a permit-only beach end, is entitled to park free and usually does not know it.
There is no paid non-resident permit. Non-residents pay the hourly rate at city meters and the daily rate at county beaches. There is nothing to buy that unlocks the permit-only beach ends [S1] [S2].
No copies are accepted of any paperwork. Originals only [S2] [S23].
Full-time residents: original current Collier County vehicle registration and original current Collier County driver license. Both must show the same name and the same Collier County address [S23].
Part-time resident property owners: valid driver license from any state, valid vehicle registration or a rental car agreement, and a current Collier County property tax bill or a warranty deed within three months of closing. All three must show the property owner's name [S23].
City residents applying at City Hall: driver's license and original vehicle registration, both showing the same name and an address inside city limits [S2].
Non-resident city property owners: an official copy of the Collier County tax statement showing a city-limits address, plus current driver's license and original vehicle registration or rental car agreement, all in the property owner's name [S2].
Corporate-owned vehicles: corporation paperwork proving named owner or partner status, plus a letter confirming personal use [S2] [S23].
Mobile home owners must own the land the home sits on to qualify as a part-time-resident property owner. Full-time residents living in mobile homes may obtain a permit [S23].
Permanently adhered to the inside of the windshield, lower driver's side corner. No tape, no lamination. Not transferable between vehicles [S2] [S23]. Valid one year, expiring the last day of the month pierced on the front of the permit [S2].

Table read on the county's Beach Parking Information page [S23]. Each issuing park also maintains its own county page [S54] to [S64].
Fred W. Coyle Freedom Park is the trap in this table. It is the only location that is closed Sunday and Monday and that shuts at 2:00 p.m., a five-hour window against the seven-to-ten-hour windows everywhere else [S23] [S57].
City residents obtain permits from City Hall, 735 8th Street South [S2].
Information not available at time of publishing. Online application availability, whether an appointment is required, any per-household quantity limit, and permit office hours at City Hall. The difference between a $10 beach day and a free one is a permit most qualifying homeowners never pick up, and knowing which 24 beach ends will tow you is the kind of thing you learn by living here. McGreevy and Comisar have sold Southwest Florida since 2004, and Jesse has lived in Estero since 2003.

Non-residents without a Collier County beach parking permit cannot park at any of these, at any price. Every record below carries the City's published parking designation [S1], its open or closed status and construction project [S7], its shower designation [S1] [S4] and its handicap designation [S1] [S5].
Read the sign at the specific block before you leave the car. Where the City's own pages disagree with each other, both readings are printed below rather than resolved.
Permit only. Open, construction complete under the Beach Access Restoration Project. Carries the freshwater shower asterisk on the City's parking page, and appears on the City's separate showers page as an available shower. No handicap designation. One of the northernmost permit-only ends, north of Lowdermilk Park.
Permit only. Open, construction complete. No shower, no handicap designation. This is one of three beach ends where an existing seawall is being replaced under the Beach End Seawall Replacement Project awarded 7 May 2025 to YC Group, LLC for $1,305,794.00, alongside 14th Avenue South and 16th Avenue South [S7].
Permit only. Open, construction complete. Freshwater shower, confirmed on both the parking page and the showers page. Appears on the City's handicapped beach access list [S5], which makes it one of only nine city accesses with a published handicap access and the only permit-only end besides 4th Avenue South and 17th Avenue South to carry one.
Permit only. CLOSED. Stormwater Beach Outfall Project [S7]. No shower, no handicap designation. One of the four consecutive North avenues taken out of service by the same project. No reopening date is published.
Permit only. CLOSED. Stormwater Beach Outfall Project [S7]. No shower, no handicap designation. No reopening date is published.
Permit only. CLOSED. Stormwater Beach Outfall Project [S7]. Carries a freshwater shower asterisk on the parking page and appears on the showers page, but the access itself is closed, so the shower is unreachable while the project runs.
Permit only. Open, construction complete. No shower, no handicap designation. The first open beach end south of the four-access stormwater closure, which makes it the northern edge of the usable Old Naples stretch, and it is permit only.
Permit only. Open, construction complete. No handicap designation. Source conflict: the City's parking page shows no shower asterisk for Central Avenue, but the City's separate beach showers page lists Central Avenue as a shower location. Both were read on naplesgov.com. Treat the shower as present but unconfirmed [S1] [S4].
Permit only. Open, construction complete. No shower, no handicap designation. Sits directly behind the Old Naples residential blocks between Central Avenue and the 2nd Avenue South shower access.
Permit only. Open, construction complete. Freshwater shower, confirmed on both the parking page and the showers page. No handicap designation.
Permit only. Open, construction complete. Source conflict: the parking page carries a shower asterisk, while the showers page marks 3rd Avenue South Unavailable. Both are official City pages [S1] [S4]. A new seawall was constructed here, one of the two locations that started first under the seawall project, alongside 15th Avenue South [S7].
Permit only. Open, construction complete. No shower. Carries the Handicap Ramp (HR) designation on the City's parking page and appears on the handicapped beach access list [S1] [S5]. That combination makes it the most accessible permit-only end in the city, and it is still closed to non-residents without a permit.
Permit only. Open, construction complete. No handicap designation. Source conflict: no shower asterisk on the parking page, but 6th Avenue South is listed as a shower location on the showers page [S1] [S4].
Permit only. Open, construction complete. Freshwater shower, confirmed on both pages. No handicap designation.
Permit only. Open, construction complete. No shower, no handicap designation. Sits between the 8th Avenue South metered access and the 10th Avenue South shower access, which is the practical reason to know it is permit only: the block on either side is not.
Permit only. Open, construction complete. Freshwater shower, confirmed on both pages. No handicap designation. Two blocks north of the closed Pier access.
Permit only. Open, construction complete. No shower, no handicap designation. The last open access before the 12th Avenue South Pier closure.
Permit only on the City's parking page. Open, and one of only two beach ends with restrooms available during the Naples Pier Rebuild Project [S7] [S9]. Listed as a shower location on the showers page although it carries no asterisk on the parking page [S4].
This is the single most confusing entry in the City's system. Plain "Broad Avenue South" is on the permit-only list, while Broad Avenue South 100 Block and Broad Avenue South 200 Block are both on the metered list [S1]. Same street name, three different published parking rules. Read the sign at the specific block. The City also publishes overflow public parking at 8th Street South and Broad Avenue South in connection with the City Dock [S14].
Permit only. Open, construction complete. Source conflict: shower asterisk on the parking page, marked Unavailable on the showers page [S1] [S4]. A new seawall was constructed here, the second of the two seawall locations that began first [S7].
Permit only. Open, construction complete. No shower, no handicap designation. One of the three existing-seawall replacement locations under the YC Group contract, with North Lake Drive and 14th Avenue South [S7].
Permit only. Open, with no construction project noted against it [S7]. No shower asterisk. Appears on the City's handicapped beach access list [S5], one of only nine such accesses citywide, and the only one on that list that carries neither an HR designation on the parking page nor metered parking.
Permit only. Open, construction complete. Source conflict: shower asterisk on the parking page, marked Unavailable on the showers page [S1] [S4]. No handicap designation.
Permit only. Open, with Seawall Project Pending noted against it [S7]. No shower, no handicap designation. Expect future disruption here; the City has flagged the work but published no start date.
Permit only. Open, construction complete. Freshwater shower, confirmed on both pages. No handicap designation. The southernmost named permit-only beach end in the City system, deep in the Port Royal and Gordon Drive stretch.
These fourteen are the accesses a visitor can legally use without a permit, and they are charged $5.00 per hour with a $2.50 minimum, paid by quarters or by Mastercard, Discover, American Express and Visa [S1]. There is no parking app on the city system. Each record below carries the same four published fields as the permit-only records above, meaning open or closed status, shower designation, handicap designation and the construction project attached to it, so you can check a specific access before you drive rather than after you arrive.
One of the 14 is currently closed and one is inside the Pier construction zone. That leaves fewer genuinely usable visitor accesses than the count suggests.
Listed as the City's first metered visitor access on the beach parking page [S1]. Genuinely ambiguous, and deliberately not resolved here. Seagate Drive does not appear anywhere in the City's own 40-access status table [S7]. The large facility at 465 Seagate Drive is Clam Pass Park, which is Collier County managed and charges the county's $10 per day rather than a city hourly rate [S29] [S36]. Ownership of the specific Seagate Drive right-of-way access is not confirmed. Practical reading: if you park in the lot, expect county rules and the $10 county rate.
Metered. Open, construction complete. Freshwater shower [S4] and on the City's handicapped beach access list [S5]. Along with Vedado Way and Via Miramar, one of three metered accesses in the Moorings and Coquina Sands stretch that carry both a shower and handicap access, which makes this cluster the best visitor option north of Lowdermilk.
Metered. Open, construction complete. Freshwater shower and handicapped beach access [S4] [S5]. Immediately south of Horizon Way in the same three-access cluster.
Metered. Open, construction complete. Freshwater shower and handicapped beach access [S4] [S5]. The third of the three, and the southernmost before Lowdermilk Park.
Metered, and by a wide margin the most complete public beach facility the City operates. 1301 Gulfshore Blvd North, Naples, FL 34102 [S11]. Open 5:00 a.m. to 11:00 p.m., all vehicles must exit by 11:00 p.m. [S10]. Beach parking permit or pay-by-space required, enforced year round. Gate arms raise and show green when open, lower and show red when closed, with an exit sensor on the way out [S10].
Amenities: sand volleyball courts, one children's playground, picnic tables, benches, restroom and shower facilities, two rentable gazebos, ADA beach access mats, beach wheelchairs for rent, and the Flip Flop Beach Grill concession beach side in the middle of the park [S10]. One of only two City beach sites with full restroom facilities, the other being Naples Pier, which is closed [S10] [S8].
Parking capacity: 213 spaces, a 2019 Parks Master Plan figure that the City has not restated since and that may be stale [S16]. Gazebo rental is $35 per hour plus tax for Collier County residents and $165 per hour plus tax for non-residents, with a refundable $50 damage deposit [S10].
Lowdermilk is not on the City's lightning detection list. The City publishes lightning detection systems for exactly three parks, Cambier Park, Fleischmann Park and River Park Aquatic Center. No beach end and no beach park is covered [S22].
Metered. CLOSED. Stormwater Beach Outfall Project [S7]. No shower, no handicap designation. This is the one closure that costs visitors real money, because it removes a paid visitor access rather than a resident-only one, and the nearest alternatives north and south are Lowdermilk Park and 5th Avenue South.
Metered. Open, construction complete. Freshwater shower, confirmed on both the parking page and the showers page [S1] [S4]. No handicap designation. The nearest metered beach access to the 5th Avenue South commercial district, which is why it fills first on a weekend evening.
Metered. Open [S7]. Freshwater shower and on the handicapped beach access list [S4] [S5]. The City's GIS records this beach end as a named park in its own right, "Beach End Park," at 0.26 acres, matching the Naples 2045 comprehensive plan figure exactly [S19]. That makes it the only city beach end with its own park polygon and published acreage.
Metered [S1]. The parent access, plain "Broad Avenue South," is permit only and open with restrooms available [S7]. See the Broad Avenue South record above; this is the block-level exception, not the whole street.
Metered [S1]. Same street, same caution. Broad Avenue South is a designated pedestrian bypass throughout the Naples Pier Rebuild Project, with restrooms available [S9], which makes these two metered blocks the most practical paid parking near the closed Pier.
Metered on the parking page, with both a freshwater shower asterisk and the Handicap Ramp (HR) designation [S1]. The 12th Avenue South access is CLOSED under the Naples Pier Rebuild Project [S7].
The lot is partly open. The Pier lot at 12th Avenue South and Gulf Shore Boulevard South has limited public parking: the western one third is open, the eastern two thirds are closed for construction [S9].
The Pier pay stations are the only place in the entire City system where Extend-by-Phone SMS top-up works [S1]. Everywhere else you return to the machine.
Metered. Open, restrooms available [S7]. Along with Broad Avenue South, one of the two designated pedestrian bypasses that stay open throughout the Pier project, with restrooms at both [S9]. For a visitor without a permit, this is the closest legal paid parking to the Pier site.
Metered [S1]. Block-level designation on the same street as the 13th Avenue South access above. The City publishes the block separately, which means the meter rules are posted per block; read the sign.
Metered. Open, construction complete [S7]. No shower, no handicap designation. One of the three existing-seawall replacement locations under the YC Group contract, with North Lake Drive and 16th Avenue South [S7], so expect intermittent work in this block.
The City's 40-access status table [S7] contains six entries that appear on neither the permit-only list nor the metered list on the beach parking page [S1], which means the City publishes their open status but not their parking rule. We are listing them as unresolved rather than guessing, because the two plausible readings carry very different consequences: if they are permit-only you would be towed, and if they are metered you would not. Treat every one of them as permit-only until the City says otherwise, and call [email protected] if you need a specific answer.
Access | Status | Project | Parking rule |
|---|---|---|---|
Admiralty Point Beach Walk | OPEN | none noted | Not published |
1977 Gulf Shore Blvd N (Gulf Towers) pathway | OPEN | none noted | Not published |
21st Avenue South | OPEN | Future Reconstruction Planned | Not published |
1900 Gulf Shore Blvd S | OPEN | Construction Complete | Not published |
2100 Gordon Drive S | OPEN | none noted | Not published |
3590 Gordon Drive | OPEN | none noted | Not published |
Information not available at time of publishing for the parking rule at all six. Sources checked: the City beach parking page, the beach parking permits page, the beach information page, the 40-access status table and the City GIS parks and recreation-access layers [S1] [S2] [S3] [S7] [S18] [S19].
Practical reading, labeled as inference and not as fact: four of the six are addressed pathways rather than named avenue ends, and two are on Gordon Drive deep inside Port Royal. Treat all six as resident-only unless a sign says otherwise. 21st Avenue South is the one worth knowing: it carries a freshwater shower on the City's showers page [S4] despite having no published parking designation anywhere.
Information not available at time of publishing for the general meter enforcement window. The only time restriction the City publishes is the 11 p.m. to 5 a.m. ban [S1].
Standard fine | $102, reduced to $77 if paid within 10 days |
Disabled-parking violation | $252 |
Court costs if an appeal is lost | $152 |
Pay by phone 844-838-5165, or by mail to City of Naples, 735 8th Street South. Questions: [email protected] or Finance at 239-213-1800 [S6].
Unpaid citations can block vehicle registration renewal and lead to immobilization, towing or collections [S6].
The appeal is a one-way door. Complete the back of the ticket and mail it to 735 8th Street South. Once you appeal, the ticket can no longer be paid to the City and a court hearing is set [S6]. If you lose, court costs are $152, which is more than the $102 fine you were contesting.
Do not use the fine figures on the City's downloadable brochure. It still prints $100, $37 and $47 [S15].
Any disability permit holder may park at any space without payment under Florida Statute 316.1964, provided the permit holder is driving or being transported [S5] [S21]. This does not allow parking in bus loading zones, fire zones, access aisles, posted no-parking zones, or beyond posted time limits. The 11 p.m. to 5 a.m. ban still applies [S5].
Nine City accesses carry a published handicapped beach access designation: 17th Avenue South, 4th Avenue South, 6th Avenue North, 8th Avenue South, Horizon Way, Lowdermilk Park, Naples Pier (currently closed for the rebuild), Vedado Way and Via Miramar [S5]. Beach wheelchairs are available at Lowdermilk Park [S5] [S10]. The two Handicap Ramp (HR) designations on the parking page are 4th Avenue South and Pier / 12th Avenue South [S1].
"Mobi-mat" is not confirmed anywhere on naplesgov.com. The City's own terms are "handicap beach access," "ADA beach access mats," "beach wheelchairs" and "Handicap Ramp" [S5].
Information not available at time of publishing. Whether a disability parking permit overrides the resident-only restriction at a permit-only beach end. The statute waives payment, and the permit-only signs are a residency restriction rather than a payment one, so the two rules do not obviously interact. Three of the nine handicapped accesses (17th Avenue South, 4th Avenue South and 6th Avenue North) sit on permit-only beach ends, which makes this a live question rather than a theoretical one. Sources checked: the City handicapped access page, beach parking page, beach parking permits page and the beach parking and citations FAQ [S1] [S2] [S5] [S6]. Call 239-213-1800 before relying on it.
No littering. No glass, animals, or fires on the beach. All parking spaces require payment or a permit. Park in marked spaces only. No parking of trailers, trucks, recreational vehicles or buses within one block of the beach. Violators will be towed at owner's expense [S1].
Free with a permit, $10 per day without [S23] [S26]. Paid by Mobile Pay To Park: text or scan a QR code, enter your plate, pay, confirm your ZIP. No app download [S23]. One payment is good all day at any county beach or marina lot [S65]. Division line for all nine: (239) 252-4000.
No dogs at any Collier County beach park. Every county listing states it [S23] [S24].
505 Barefoot Beach Boulevard, Naples, FL 34134, physically in the Bonita Springs corner of Collier County [S27]. Open year round, 8 a.m. to sunset. $10 pay-to-park, credit card, free with a resident permit.
One of the last undeveloped barrier islands on Florida's southwest coast. Natural beach, wildlife viewing stations and a docent program. Beach rentals and sundries daily 8:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m., including loungers, umbrellas, cabanas, sunscreen, towels and kid toys. Kayak and paddleboard rentals are listed as coming to Parking Lot 3, and food and beverage to Parking Lot 1. Docents work Parking Lot 1 during the 2026 season, 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. Monday and Wednesday through Friday [S27].
Acreage conflict, published as a conflict. The county page states 342 acres in one paragraph and 345 acres in the General Information block on the same page, while the county GIS polygon computes to 174.5 acres [S27] [S67]. All three are county figures. Information not available at time of publishing for a single authoritative acreage.
A separate facility from the Preserve, listed on the county Mobile Pay To Park sheet and carried as a distinct record in the county Parks GIS layer [S26] [S67]. 5901 Bonita Beach Rd SW, Bonita Springs, FL 34134, GIS-derived; the Preserve page describes it as located "20 feet off Bonita Beach Road on Lely Barefoot Boulevard" [S27].
3.7 acres, GIS-derived. The county describes it as "an open, peaceful location for sunbathers." $10 per day, free with a resident permit. Amenities are not confirmed in detail and hours are not separately published; treat as 8 a.m. to sunset consistent with the other county beach parks [S26] [S27].
Bluebill Avenue and Gulfshore Drive, Naples, FL 34108. 0.3 acres, GIS-derived. Dawn to dusk. Bike racks, foot showers, restrooms [S28].
An unresolved conflict between two official county sources, published here as a conflict. The county detail page says "No Parking Available: Drop Off Only" and sends visitors to Conner Park a few blocks away on Bluebill (111th Avenue). The county's own Mobile Pay To Park sheet lists Bluebill Beach Access at $10 per day [S26] [S28]. Both are official and they still disagree as of 2026-08-30.
Park at Conner Park if you want certainty. That is the answer the detail page itself gives.
465 Seagate Drive, Naples, FL 34103. Open year round, 8 a.m. to sunset. $10 per day, credit card, free with a resident permit [S29].
171 parking spaces, a three-quarter-mile boardwalk to the beach, and a free tram that runs it [S29] [S36]. Also beach wheelchair rentals, bike racks, a CAT bus stop, foot showers, a life jacket loaner program, a restaurant and concession, and restrooms [S29]. The Conservancy of Southwest Florida runs guided nature walks Monday through Saturday from December to April.
Acreage conflict: the county page says 35 acres of coastal habitat; the GIS polygon computes to 157.4 acres, which likely includes the mangrove preserve behind the beach [S29] [S67]. Both can be right, describing different footprints. Published as both.
This is also the resolution to the Seagate Drive question above. If you are aiming at "Seagate Drive beach access" and you end up in a large lot with a boardwalk and a tram, you are at a county park paying the county's $10, not a city meter.
492 Bluebill Ave, Naples, FL 34108 per the county GIS layer. Address conflict: the county detail page lists "Bluebill Avenue and Gulfshore Drive," the same coordinate it gives for Bluebill Beach Access, while the page text places the park on 111th Avenue North. Use the GIS address; the detail page address appears to be a data error [S30] [S67].
10.4 acres. Dawn to dusk. 158 parking spaces, an open play area, a fishing area, a three-quarter-mile walking trail and a butterfly garden [S30]. $10 per day, free with a resident permit.
Conner Park is not a beach. It is off-site beach parking. Beach access to Delnor-Wiggins Pass State Park and to Bluebill Beach Access is roughly a quarter mile on foot [S30]. It is the overflow answer for the entire Vanderbilt and Bluebill cluster, and it is the trolley lot (see the in-season section below).
4999 Gulf Shore Blvd N, Naples, FL 34103 per the county GIS; the detail page lists the street only, without a number [S31] [S67]. 0.4 acres. Dawn to dusk. $10 per day, free with a resident permit.
38 parking spaces. That is the entire lot. Parking only, no other amenities. The access is a walkway between the Seagate condominiums and North Gulf Shore Boulevard, and the beach is reachable on foot both at the end of Seagate Drive and at North Gulf Shore Boulevard [S31].
One of very few public access points in the Park Shore and Seagate beachfront stretch, which is exactly why 38 spaces go early.
930 S. Collier Blvd., Marco Island, FL 34145. 1.3 acres. Open year round, 8:00 a.m. to sunset. $10 per day, MasterCard and Visa accepted, free with a resident permit [S32].
Parking and restrooms are on Swallow Avenue, a short walk across South Collier Boulevard, not on Collier Boulevard itself. 70 parking spaces per the City of Marco Island [S32] [S73]. Also foot-washing stations and maintained beach access points.
One of only two public beaches on Marco Island, by the county's own category description [S32].
480 Hernando Dr., Marco Island, FL 34145, from the county Parks GIS polygon layer. Third-party sources commonly list 430 Hernando Drive; that number was not confirmed on any official source [S67].
$10 per day, free with a resident permit, per the county Mobile Pay To Park sheet and the county 311 knowledge base article updated 12/18/2024 [S26] [S65]. Open year round, 8:00 a.m. to sunset per the working county park page [S35]. 226 regular parking spaces and 6 handicap spaces, a bath house, five boardwalks from the mangrove-lined parking area to the beach, and restrooms. The county page states "ADA Compliant" and a beach wheelchair is available [S35].
The county's own link to this park is broken. The href on the Beaches category page contains a literal space and returns Page Not Found [S34]. The working page is at the legacy collier_park path [S35]. Publish the working link.
Two stale notices on the county's own page. A restroom closure notice dated 19 August 2022 is still posted and has never been updated, and the amenity list still advertises a concession and watersport rentals although the county ran a concession solicitation with a final ranking meeting on 5 June 2026. Information not available at time of publishing for current restroom status and current concession operator [S35].
100 Vanderbilt Beach Road, Naples, FL 34108. 5 acres, and this is one of the few county figures where the prose and the GIS polygon agree exactly. Open year round, 8 a.m. to sunset. $10 per day, credit cards accepted, free with a resident permit [S33].
The only county beach parking garage. Dedicated parking garage plus on-street parking, a concession stand renting chairs and cabanas and selling snacks, drinks and toys, restrooms, foot showers, bike racks and a life jacket loaner program [S33].
The county publishes a live "Parking Garage Availability" link [S33]. Check it before you drive; it is the only real-time parking feed anywhere in this guide.
County guidance, verbatim: secure parking before 10 a.m. January through March [S33]. The most convenient public beach access in North Naples, beside the Ritz-Carlton and the Turtle Club.
Seven Collier County boat parks sit on the same Mobile Pay To Park system as the beaches, and the distinction that catches people out is that the $10 covers vehicle parking only. Launching a boat carries its own fees on top [S23] [S26]. All seven are open year round from sunrise to sunset, all are free to permit holders on the vehicle-parking side, and all are reachable at (239) 252-4000. Several of them are also the quietest legal parking near the water on a weekend when the beach lots have already closed.
1500 Danford Street, Naples, FL 34112. 4 acres per the county page, 3.5 acres by GIS. Boat ramp, pavilion, picnic tables, restrooms. At the end of Danford Street off Thomasson Drive, with views of Naples Bay and Port Royal [S41].
County guidance: arrive early on weekends, it gets very busy [S41]. The closest public boat ramp to downtown Naples. Commercial operators need a commercial vessel launch permit here.
909 Collier Court, Marco Island, FL 34145. 4 acres, prose and GIS in agreement. Boat ramp, ample parking, concessions, ship store and fuel dock [S42].
The ship store is temporarily closed [S42]. Fuel is still running: available by credit card daily 7:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m., effective 13 November 2025, closed Christmas Day [S42] [S68]. Those are two different claims and the page states both; do not collapse them into "closed."
Payment here is via the T-2 Mobile App or a QR code, not the standard county text-to-park flow [S42].
397 Dockside Drive, Naples, FL 34110. 7 acres per the county page, 7.7 by GIS. Four boat launching lanes, which the county says is more capacity than any other county launch. Ship store, fuel dock and wet slip rentals. Direct Gulf access through Wiggins Pass [S43].
Ship store temporarily closed. Fuel available by credit card daily 7:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m., closed Christmas Day [S43]. Payment via the T-2 Mobile App or QR code. Slip rental inquiries (239) 252-4000 [S40].
County guidance: crowded January through April across the north Collier ramps [S43] [S69].
3620 Collier Blvd., Naples, FL 34113. 2.7 acres, GIS-derived. Two launch ramps, ample boat and trailer parking, on the east side of Collier Boulevard just north of the Marco Island bridge. No fuel sold here [S44].
County guidance: crowded January through April, arrive early [S44]. Credit cards accepted. Commercial vessel launch permit required for commercial operators.
740 Palm Point Drive, Marco Island, FL 34140. 5.22 acres, prose and GIS in agreement. Two-lane launch ramp, ample trailer parking, wet slips for rent, a covered picnic pavilion with grill, a fishing pier, a fish cleaning station, a life jacket loan program, a boat dock and a ship store [S45].
Ship store temporarily closed [S45]. Payment via the T-2 Mobile App or QR code.
1295 Capri Boulevard, Naples, FL 34113. 8.8 acres, GIS-derived. The only public access facility in Collier County designed exclusively for launching non-motorized paddle craft [S46].
Paddlecraft launch ramp, canoe and kayak launch, picnic pavilions and shelter areas, restrooms and parking, with pedestrian access from the nearby Collier Boulevard ramp. Provides access to McIlvane Bay inside the Rookery Bay Reserve.
Fees here are different from the motorized parks: a paddle craft permit or the $5 daily non-motorized launch fee, plus $10 vehicle parking for non-residents [S39] [S46].
525 Newport Dr, Naples, FL 34114, with a separate county-owned 1.4-acre parking lot at 600 Newport Dr [S47] [S67]. 94-space parking facility, one oversized single boat launch ramp, boat dock, wet slip rentals, ship store and fuel dock [S47].
Ship store temporarily closed. Fuel by credit card daily 7:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m., closed Christmas Day [S47]. Payment via the T-2 Mobile App or QR code.
The closest public marina to Everglades City, and the launch point for the Ten Thousand Islands and the Faka Union Canal.
Item | Rate |
|---|---|
Daily vehicle parking, non-resident | $10 |
Daily motorized launch | $10 |
Daily non-motorized launch | $5 |
Resident motorized vessel permit | $100 plus tax, valid trailer registration required |
Resident non-motorized paddle craft permit | $50 plus tax, valid vehicle registration required |
Non-resident motorized vessel permit | $250 plus tax |
Non-resident non-motorized paddle craft permit | $125 plus tax |
Annual permits run one year from the month of purchase. Motorized permits affix to the passenger side of the trailer winch post; paddle craft permits affix to the passenger side of the vehicle rear bumper [S39].
Permits are sold at nine county locations: Donna Fiala Eagle Lakes Community Park, East Naples Community Park, Golden Gate Community Center, Immokalee Community Park, Immokalee South Park, Max A. Hasse Community Park, North Collier Regional Park (Exhibit Hall), Veterans Community Park and Vineyards Community Park [S39].
Commercial operators need a commercial vessel launch permit at Goodland, Bayview, Cocohatchee, Collier Boulevard, Port of the Islands and Isles of Capri. Administered by Contractor Licensing at (239) 252-2431 [S39].
Three county launch sites are not on the $10 vehicle parking list: Ann Olesky Park on Lake Trafford [S48], the Golden Gate Boat Ramp behind Golden Gate Community Park [S49] and Margood Harbor Park in Goodland [S50]. Launch fees or permits still apply at all three.
Almost everything below comes from the agencies own published guidance rather than from folklore, but it is the part nobody puts on a rate page. Between January and March the north county beaches fill and then close, the alternatives are not obvious from a map, and the difference between arriving at nine and arriving at eleven is the difference between parking and driving home. These are the patterns worth knowing before you set out, each one attributed to the county or state page that states it.
Location | Published capacity |
|---|---|
Tigertail Beach Park | 226 regular plus 6 handicap spaces |
Lowdermilk Park | 213 spaces (2019 figure, may be stale) |
Clam Pass Park | 171 spaces |
Conner Park Beach | 158 spaces |
Port of the Islands Marina | 94 spaces |
South Marco Beach Access | 70 spaces |
North Gulfshore Beach Access | 38 spaces |
Vanderbilt Beach Park | Garage, live availability feed, count not published |
Sources in the individual records above. Information not available at time of publishing for the Vanderbilt garage space count and for capacity at every City of Naples beach end other than Lowdermilk. Neither agency publishes a per-beach-end space count.
That is three different payment systems inside about nine miles of coastline, which is the kind of thing McGreevy and Comisar hear about from clients the week after they close.
These are the accesses and facilities that were closed when we last checked on 30 August 2026, and this is the fastest-ageing section on the page, so treat it as a snapshot rather than a standing fact. Where an agency has published a reopening date we give it, and where one has not we say so instead of repeating an estimate from elsewhere. If a closure below matters to your trip, call the managing agency first: City of Naples parking on 239-213-1800, Collier County Parks and Recreation on (239) 252-4000.
A standing caution on Collier County closure lists. Collier rebuilt collierparks.com on a new platform, the consolidated openings and closures page is gone, the new home page carries no alert banner, and the county's main site moved to collier.gov with several old parks URLs now returning 404 [S52] [S53]. Only the Caxambas ship store closure could be independently re-confirmed on 2026-08-30. Call (239) 252-4000 for a current county closure list before relying on any of them.
$10 per day flat at Collier County beaches. $5.00 per hour at the City's 14 metered accesses, $2.50 minimum. The City's other 24 beach ends are permit-only and non-residents cannot park there at all.
No. 24 of the City's 40 beach ends are marked "Beach Parking by Resident Only." Without a permit you will be towed at your own expense.
Fourteen are metered: Seagate Drive, Horizon Way, Vedado Way, Via Miramar, Lowdermilk Park, 8th Avenue North, 5th Avenue South, 8th Avenue South, Broad Avenue South 100 Block, Broad Avenue South 200 Block, Pier / 12th Avenue South, 13th Avenue South, 13th Avenue South 100 Block and 14th Avenue South. Two of those fourteen are currently affected by construction: 8th Avenue North is closed and the 12th Avenue South Pier access is closed with only the western third of its lot open.
Yes. Every Collier County property taxpayer and full-time resident qualifies at no cost, and one permit covers both City and County beaches by interlocal agreement.
Originals only, no copies. Full-time residents: current Collier County vehicle registration and driver license, same name, same county address. Part-time property owners: driver license, vehicle registration or rental agreement, and a current county tax bill or a warranty deed within three months of closing, all in the owner's name.
Fourteen county locations, listed in full above, plus City Hall at 735 8th Street South for city residents. Fred W. Coyle Freedom Park has the shortest window: Tuesday to Saturday, 9:00 a.m. to 2:00 p.m.
No. There is no paid non-resident permit in either system. Non-residents pay hourly at city meters and $10 per day at county beaches, and the 24 permit-only beach ends stay closed to them.
No, and there are three different systems. County beaches use text or QR with no download. Several county boat parks use the T-2 mobile app or a QR code. City meters take quarters and cards, with no parking app at all, and SMS top-up exists only at the Pier pay stations.
Vanderbilt Beach Park, the only county beach parking garage, and the county publishes a live garage availability link.
At Delnor-Wiggins Pass State Park the park closes to new vehicles, cars may not queue at the entrance, and the Paradise Beach Trolley runs from the Conner Park lot on Bluebill Avenue. Conner Park is the overflow lot for that whole cluster and has 158 spaces.
Tigertail Beach Park on Marco Island, with 226 regular spaces plus 6 handicap spaces. On the mainland it is Lowdermilk Park at 213 spaces, then Clam Pass Park at 171.
North Gulfshore Beach Access, at 38 spaces for the entire lot.
No. Collier County beach parks prohibit dogs, and the City bans animals on the beach.
Twenty-one city locations carry a shower designation, including Lowdermilk Park, Vedado Way, Via Miramar, Horizon Way and a long run of the avenue ends. Three of them, 3rd Avenue South, 15th Avenue South and 18th Avenue South, are marked Unavailable on the City's showers page while still carrying a shower asterisk on the parking page.
Nine: 17th Avenue South, 4th Avenue South, 6th Avenue North, 8th Avenue South, Horizon Way, Lowdermilk Park, Naples Pier (closed), Vedado Way and Via Miramar. Beach wheelchairs are at Lowdermilk Park.
Before 10 a.m. from January through March at Vanderbilt, per the county's own guidance.
$102, reduced to $77 if paid within 10 days. A disabled-parking violation is $252. If you appeal and lose, court costs are $152, and once you appeal you can no longer pay the City directly.
No. It closed 6 January 2026 for reconstruction with no published reopening date. The western third of the Pier lot is open; the eastern two thirds are closed.
Yes. The City states enforcement runs year round, and the 11 p.m. to 5 a.m. parking ban applies at every beach space regardless of season.
The 24 permit-only beach ends are not scattered at random. They run almost exactly along the Olde Naples, Coquina Sands, Aqualane Shores, Port Royal and Gordon Drive residential stretch, which means the restriction that frustrates visitors functions as a private amenity for the people who live behind it. That is a real and defensible value argument for a home inside the footprint, and an equally real warning for a buyer looking one street outside it.
Inside the permit-only footprint. A resident permit is free, covers both the City and County systems under the interlocal agreement, and turns two dozen beach ends into what are effectively neighborhood accesses. If you are buying in Olde Naples, Coquina Sands, the Moorings or Park Shore, walkable beach-end access is part of what you are paying for, and it is worth confirming which specific end serves the address before you write the offer.
Outside it, in the rest of Collier County. Everywhere else the practical answer is the county system: nine beach parks at a flat $10 per day for non-residents, free with the same permit, and Vanderbilt Beach Park as the only garage. Buyers in Naples Park and along the north county corridor are closest to Vanderbilt, Delnor-Wiggins and the Conner Park overflow lot, which is the cluster that fills first in season.
The number that matters when you compare two addresses. A city meter costs $5.00 an hour and crosses the county flat rate at exactly two hours. So for a household that goes to the beach for an afternoon rather than an hour, an address served by a county beach park is cheaper to live at than an address served only by a city meter, every single trip, and neither listing description will ever tell you that.
The wider Collier County picture, park by park, is in our Collier County parks, preserves and beaches guide, and the county hub is at Collier County.
