Exciting news for ice cream lovers in Estero! This September, Royal Scoop Estero will open its doors in the Estero Crossing Shopping Plaza, conveniently located near the intersection of Corkscrew and Three Oaks Blvd. Soon, you’ll be able to indulge in 44 flavors of homemade ice cream served just the way you like it—whether that’s in a cone, dish, sundae, or milkshake.
Royal Scoop has been a beloved staple of Southwest Florida since 1979, with the original location in Bonita Springs where all the delicious ice cream is made. Now, thanks to Robb and Tricia Winiecki, the charm and flavors of Royal Scoop are coming to Estero. The Winieckis, who have called Estero home since 2004, have always cherished their trips to the Bonita location after spending hot days at the beach. After 20 years, they’re thrilled to bring this tradition to their hometown.
Robb Winiecki brings a wealth of experience from his background in restaurant management, while Tricia’s career in healthcare complements their business acumen. The couple previously owned and operated Gulf Coast Assisting Hands, a non-medical home care business in Naples, for 14 years. Having sold that business in May 2022, they decided it was time for a new, more lighthearted venture. Tricia has always dreamed of owning an ice cream shop, and now that dream is coming true. She believes in the joy ice cream brings, saying, “Everyone smiles when you hand them an ice cream cone.” This sentiment inspired the name of their corporation: Scoop a Smile.
Construction for Royal Scoop Estero is set to begin in June, with a grand opening planned for mid-September. Robb and Tricia are eager to serve up smiles to their friends, family, and neighbors, and they hope the Estero community will love Royal Scoop as much as they do.
Stay tuned for more updates, and get ready to enjoy some of the best ice cream Southwest Florida has to offer, right here in Estero!
