The Village of Estero invites residents to two upcoming public hearings to review and approve the proposed Fiscal Year 2025-26 budget and property tax rate (millage rate):
First Reading: Wednesday, September 10, at 5:05 p.m.
Second & Final Approval: Wednesday, September 17, at 5:05 p.m.
These sessions are scheduled after 5 p.m. in compliance with budget hearing regulations.
Estero’s Fiscal Strength: Low Taxes and AAA Rating
Estero proudly maintains one of the lowest millage rates in Florida, capped at 0.73 mills, unchanged from Fiscal Year 2024-2025.
Beyond low tax burdens, Estero's financial health is underscored by its AAA bond rating from S&P Global, a distinction shared by only a few Florida municipalities. This top-tier rating enables the village to borrow at lower interest rates, benefiting taxpayers.

Virtually: Watch the live stream and use the eComment card on the Village website. Submit comments by noon the day before each hearing, they will be distributed to Council but not read aloud.
