Bonita Springs is buzzing with excitement as Sugarshack Downtown prepares to take the music and entertainment scene to new heights! With a groundbreaking new venue slated to open in late 2024, the team behind the globally successful Sugarshack Sessions is teaming up with Brickyard Hollow Brewing Co. to bring a one-of-a-kind experience to downtown Bonita Springs.

For nearly a decade, Sugarshack has quietly operated from a humble backyard in Bonita Springs, producing its renowned Sugarshack Sessions, an acoustic digital music series that has captured the hearts of music lovers worldwide. Now, they’re taking that magic and amplifying it with a full-fledged music venue, restaurant, and bar that’s set to become a major attraction in Southwest Florida.

Location & Venue Design
The Sugarshack Downtown venue is nestled in the heart of Bonita Springs at 10510 Childers St., right off Old 41 Road. Situated near historic landmarks like the Bonita Springs Historical Society and the century-old banyan tree, the venue retains the charm of its surroundings. The space will repurpose a historic 1941 building into an indoor bar and entrance, while adding multiple new structures like an outdoor stage, beer garden, and covered dining areas. The venue will seat more than 270 people across its indoor and outdoor spaces, creating the perfect setting for live performances and great food.

What’s on the Menu?
In collaboration with Brickyard Hollow Brewing Co., Sugarshack Downtown will offer a variety of craft brews, artisan pizzas, handhelds, salads, and more. Brickyard Hollow, known for its community-focused establishments, is bringing their signature flavors from Maine to Bonita Springs. Though the menu is still in development, it’s safe to say that locals and visitors alike can expect a dining experience that pairs well with the laid-back, music-driven atmosphere.

A Space for Music Lovers
Music is the heart and soul of Sugarshack, and their downtown venture will continue to nurture that passion. The venue’s outdoor stage will host live performances, carrying on the tradition of Sugarshack Sessions—the acoustic recordings that first put them on the map. Sugarshack’s co-founder Eddie Kopp expressed how meaningful this new space will be: “We’ve always dreamt of a place where the community could gather around what we do. We’re very excited to bring that dream to life for our 10-year anniversary.”

With this new project, Bonita Springs has the potential to join the ranks of famous music destinations like Nashville or Austin. Dave Alpert, Sugarshack partner and VP of partnerships, noted that Sugarshack Downtown could put Bonita Springs on the map as a launchpad for emerging artists. The venue will host live performances and aim to become a hot spot for music lovers looking for something special in Southwest Florida.
