Revana Lakes Approved: Growth Continues in Bonita Springs

The Bonita Springs City Council has officially approved the Revana Lakes development project, marking another significant step in the city’s continued growth. The project will transform a 204 acre parcel into a mixed-use residential and commercial community, while also expanding the city limits by approximately 90 acres.

The decision reflects both the momentum of development in Southwest Florida and the ongoing conversation surrounding growth, infrastructure, and preservation.

What is Revana Lakes?

Planned by Seagate Development Group, Revana Lakes will convert land previously designated as wetlands and groundwater resource areas into an urban fringe development zone. The project is expected to include:

  • Approximately 299 residential homes
  • Retail and commercial components
  • Expanded city boundaries through annexation

The zoning change, from a density reduction/groundwater resource designation to an urban fringe development zone, was approved by the council in a 5-2 vote, while the annexation itself passed unanimously.

The first development order is expected to move forward in April 2026, beginning the next phase of the project.
