Babcock Ranch developer Kitson & Partners announced that their second shopping center, The Shoppes at Yellow Pine, is fully leased and will include over 12,000 square feet of medical space. Set to open in 2025, this 120,000-square-foot center will feature seven new eateries, multiple national big-box and regional retailers, a medical center staffed with primary care and pediatric physicians, and an urgent care facility among other tenants.
Expanding Medical Services
The medical space within The Shoppes at Yellow Pine is a partnership between Babcock Ranch and the Tampa General Hospital (TGH) system, which is expanding its services into the Babcock Ranch community. The new TGH Urgent Care, announced last year, is expected to open in 2025. The partnership recently revealed a 6,100-square-foot expansion customized to provide services tailored to the community's needs, determined through focus group sessions with Babcock Ranch residents.
Retail and Dining Options
Adjacent to the Publix-anchored Crescent B Commons shopping center, The Shoppes at Yellow Pine will house several flagship national big-box retailers, including Ulta Beauty, Marshalls, Ace Hardware, and Five Below. Dining options will be extensive, featuring Oar & Iron Raw Bar & Grill, Panera Bread, Jersey Mike’s, Five Guys, Papa John’s, Yummy Thai and Chinese, and Carvel ice cream. Additional tenants include Verizon, Fountain Pools, Seymour Orthodontics, Tipsy Hair Salon, and The Laser Lounge Spa.
A Thriving Community
“The Shoppes at Yellow Pine marks a big step for Babcock Ranch, and we are thrilled to deliver more services to our fast-growing residential population,” said Matt Buehler, senior vice president of commercial development at Kitson & Partners. “This project represents the next phase of a master plan that will see the development of 6 million square feet of sustainable commercial, retail, light industrial, civic, and office space for our community.”
Now under construction, Yellow Pine consists of three multitenant outparcel buildings fronting Cypress Parkway and two stand-alone internal outparcels. The center will also offer three outdoor seating areas for shaded alfresco dining, complementing the indoor seating options at its eateries.
Progress and Community Impact
“Construction is about 60% complete, all of the buildings are up, and we’re starting the exterior finishes now,” Buehler said. “The strong interest we’ve seen has been very encouraging. Not only is it confirmation that our sustainable, resilient development model is attractive to major brands, it also speaks to the vitality of our community and further validates that Babcock Ranch is growing into a vibrant town.”
The Shoppes at Yellow Pine is poised to significantly enhance the amenities and services available to Babcock Ranch residents, contributing to the community's growth and vibrancy.
