In an extraordinary display of philanthropy, the Naples Winter Wine Festival's 10th annual online auction recently concluded with remarkable success, surpassing the $1 million mark. These funds, a testament to the unwavering generosity of participants, will go towards supporting the mission of the Naples Children & Education Foundation (NCEF).
This year's online auction, which ran from January 19th to January 30th, featured an impressive array of over 100 lots, drawing enthusiastic bidders from across the nation. From rare collectible wines to exclusive culinary experiences and luxurious getaways, each lot was crafted to entice and inspire.
One standout highlight of the auction was the "VIP Andrea Bocelli Concert Experience in Orlando, Florida," which garnered tremendous interest. Seven couples seized the opportunity to partake in this unforgettable experience, each contributing $20,000 to raise a total of $140,000. This exclusive package promises a lavish evening complete with private air travel, gourmet dining, and premium concert seating.
Other notable auction items included a collection of America's celebrated bourbon, a selection of highly sought-after California cult wines, and enchanting New York City getaways. These offerings captivated bidders with their uniqueness and allure, resulting in substantial contributions towards the foundation's cause.
The funds raised from this year's online auction, combined with the proceeds from the live auction held earlier in January, will enable NCEF to continue its vital work in supporting local organizations and initiatives dedicated to serving children in need. Through grants and strategic initiatives, NCEF aims to make a meaningful difference in the lives of at-risk and underprivileged children in Collier County.
Among the memorable experiences auctioned was "Don't Call Me Lonesome: A Private Dinner and Performance," where winning bidders will enjoy an intimate evening of music, food, and wine hosted by Valerie Boyd and Jeff Gargiulo of Gargiulo Vineyards, accompanied by acclaimed songwriter Radney Foster.
As the Naples Winter Wine Festival celebrates another year of philanthropy and community impact, it remains a beacon of hope and support for children in need, thanks to the generosity and compassion of its supporters.
Stay tuned for updates on the impact of this year's fundraising efforts as NCEF prepares to award grants to deserving organizations on March 18th. Find out more about the Naples Children & Education Foundation and the Naples Winter Wine Festival HERE.
